Latesha Grant has come to the practice of yoga, searching for peace and balance, after her first year at College of Charleston in 2000, while obtaining her B.S. in Biology. Latesha grew a fondness for yoga and it became a part of her life. Even though from time to time, she left her mat with frustration, her mind and spirit would make her return to regain inner peace. Latesha completed her 200 hr Teacher Training at Holy Cow Yoga. Which gave her the ability to share, how yoga transformed her life and showed her clarity in guiding her students thorough beginning asana poses, intermediate and then inversions safely with impeccable confidence. Latesha is certified in Yoga Therapy, Pre/Postnatal Yoga, Yin Yoga, Yoga for Cancer, Yoga for Sports, Senior's Yoga and Restorative Yoga. She has traveled to Paris, Dominican Republic, Canada, Amsterdam and Hawaii.
Off of her mat, Latesha spreads good Karma devoting time to under privileged kids and volunteering in any capacity needed to help people. She believes in her heart that " You haven't changed anything in life, until you've changed the life of someone else" and "The smallest things make the GREATEST impacts".
Lastly, Latesha tells all of her students, that YOGA reveals the TRUE YOU!
Joel started his life long journey with Yoga in 2011. After years of learning and experience through practicing, he decided that he had to teach and help spread this ancient knowledge. Joel got his 200 hour Hatha Yoga teacher certificate in 2017 from Seven Centers Yoga Arts in Sedona Arizona. As a certified Yoga teacher, Joel has worked with students who range in age from 6 years old to 74 years old. With that experience and knowledge he knows that he is as much of a student as a teacher.
"I am pure energy and I am confident"
Hi! I'm Darrick Goodman, a Certified Kemetic Yoga Instructor (CKYT) at the 200HR level. I currently reside in Atlanta with my beautiful wife Leslie of five years. I've been practicing yoga for four years, and have been teaching it for over two years throughout Atlanta. The impact has been life changing! At first, yoga was just a different form of exercise; however, the more I begin to connect with the mental aspect, I started to learn that it was so much more. It helped me with my stress levels, my patience, and the breath connection opened up so many mental planes for me. This epiphany led me to want to share this to individuals I knew personally, those who didn't handle stress as well. My approach to teaching is to be patient and understand that is OK to "begin again every day." I incorporate this approach in my own journey by continuing to expand my knowledge and always readily seeking more growth. I've also gained additional training in a mindfulness practice immersion course for disadvantaged populations and those affected by trauma. Yoga is for everyone! Freedom is a state of mind. We are all on this journey in seeking our self truth. I am so honored to assist you on your journey.
